Cheer Team Policies and Procedures

By participating in our cheer program you as a Parent agree to the following:

• I will always be supportive of the coach’s decisions in front of athletes, parents and others.
• I understand it is my responsibility to be a Parent, not a coach and I will let the coaches coach.
• I will do my best to have my child on time to every practice, event and competition, and understand that traffic is not an excuse.
• I understand no call/no show is grounds for immediate termination.
• I understand unexcused absences are unacceptable and jeopardize my child’s position on the team. If my child is going to be absent, an absence request form must be submitted and approved two weeks before the absence date.
• I understand that if child has to miss practice for any health reason, I must provide a doctor’s note.
• I will not over work my child and trust the Phoenix Elite All-Stars Staff will progress my child appropriately.
• I understand that once practice has started, I am not allowed to enter the practice area for any reason without Phoenix Elite All-Stars staff approval.
• I will monitor my child’s social media activities and will take full responsibility for their actions.
• I am aware that all travel arrangements for athletes at out of town competitions will be my responsibility to be scheduled/booked and all athletes will stay at the same hotel.
• I will enforce all rules implemented by Phoenix Elite All-Stars for out of town competitions, i.e. meet times, dismissal times, pre-competition activities, nutrition, and curfew.
• I will only say positive things about the performances of all Phoenix Elite All-Stars athletes and other competitors in the competition.
• I will not post any pictures or videos of any part of a routine before any competitions to public sites.
• I understand that any time I wear Phoenix Elite All-Stars apparel I am a direct representation of the gym and I will act accordingly.
• My child is required to stay at the competition and support all Phoenix Elite All-Stars teams according to the schedule and be present for awards. If my child needs to leave early, I will fill out an excused absence form two weeks prior to the event.

By participating in our cheer program you as an Athlete agree to the following:

• I will always be supportive of the coach’s decisions in front of athletes, parents and others.
• I will not intentionally create drama with any Athlete or Parent.
• When using social media I will not say negative things about anyone involved in the cheerleading industry and I will respect other gyms, parents, coaches, athletes and myself.
• When using social media, I will be positive about all Phoenix Elite All-Stars related events and activities.
• I will not post any pictures or videos of any part of a routine before any Nationals to public sites.
• I understand no call/no show is grounds for immediate termination.
• I understand unexcused absences are unacceptable and jeopardize my position on the team.
• I understand that if I miss practice for any health reason, I must provide a doctor note.
• I will attend all choreography and camp dates.
• I will not miss any practices two weeks prior to competitions and events.
• I will stay and support all Phoenix Elite All-Stars teams required at competition unless I have filled out an absence request form and had it approved.
• I am to stay in full uniform from the time I arrive to the time I am dismissed from the event.
• I understand that any time I wear Phoenix Elite All-Stars apparel I am a direct representation of the gym and I will act accordingly.
• I will only say positive things about the performances of all Phoenix Elite All-Stars athletes and other competitors in the competition.
• I will carry myself with respect, sportsmanship, and class at all times in and out of required Phoenix Elite All-Stars events.
• I will follow all rules implemented by Phoenix Elite All-Stars for out of town competitions i.e. curfew, nutrition, meet times, dismissal times, and appropriate pre-competition activities.
• I will always be at practice on time and in the right practice wear.
• I understand once practice has started I will not leave the gym for any reason without permission from the coaches.
• It is my job to set a good, positive, hard-working atmosphere for myself and others.
• I will let my attitude and hard work speak for me and lead others to do the same.
• I will not take part in any acts of bullying or abuse to anyone at anytime while in or outside the gym.
• If I am ever injured or feel like I might have a concussion, I will tell my coaches right away.
• I agree to do more than expected inside the gym and outside the gym, this includes my school work, exercising, meal planning, community service, and at home.
